The following e-mail worth sharing:
“For your information,
The Berkley school district LOST its last bond request, Feb. 2010, with 69.45% of the voters casting a NO vote.
The Berkley school district came under fire for promoting a YES vote in taxpayer-paid communications.
The BHSD just hired their PR person.
Her duties (as stated in the board agenda packet) include the BHSD’s campaign for a new tax bond to buy an unpopular new high school.
On that same (snowy!) election date, Bloomfield Twp. narrowly passed a 1-mil operating increase by a margin of just 633 votes.
In my opinion, it is time for the BHSD to start listening to taxpayers, educating students, and STOP spending money on PR and consultants.”
“In an email Tuesday to Berkley Patch, Berkley Schools Superintendent Michael Simeck said Good (new communications director B.H.S.D.) made a number of valuable contributions”
Patch said:
“That trait may come in handy right away, as the district is in the midst of informing voters about the pending bond request needed to merge Andover and Lahser high schools through a series of town hall meetings.”
Simeck, clone of Gaynor, is also playing behind the scenes with the future of Bloomfield district.
This is not in reply to the Gaynor…….
I just read Mr. Kaufman’s letter and I have not seen such a bunch of hooey in a long time. I wish I could find any facts in his opinions. A May election would cost the district money which is not acceptable, from my taxpayer point of view. A decrease in cost at 28% is not significant- again his opinion. I could go on and on, but I have learned “you can’t argue with stupid.”

B2010 – “I am voting NO” is not written by me.
Chris,
Thanks for being so open-minded as to encourage everyone to vote “no” on a bond proposal that hasn’t even been written yet!!! If that isn’t proof-positive that the only word that Bloomfield 20/20 has in it’s vocabulary is “No”, I don’t know what is! Good grief, Charlie Brown!!! You are a very sad person, indeed.
I am voting no based on my perception of the board and administration wasting the limited resources and refusing to do deep cuts. It doesn’t really matter what the proposal states and I would be skeptical that they would follow it anyway.
You answered my question, and confirmed my suspicions. Thank you.
To B2010
Maybe you should read what is written before replying with a false conclusion. I do not see your question that you received an answer to. Maybe you should re-read what you have written also.
